2011...So much to look forward to!
The members of the Koolauloa Hawaiian Civic Club have been so busy lately and it shows their commitment and involvement in their community. Weʻve been doing well at various fundraisers such as the Prince Kuhio Day parade (everybody loved the ʻono laulau plate and hamburgers). On April 16th we participated in the "Aloha Koʻolauloa" event supporting all the Hawaiian language immersion schools in the moku (Punana Leo o Koʻolauloa, Ke Kula Kaiapuni ʻo Hauʻula, Kula Kaiapuni ʻo Kahuku). We did well selling crafts (earrings, pins, etc.) and our little bake sale. We will soon be participating in "Na Kupu Aina" a fundraiser to support the Punana Leo o Kamakau. We hope to see you folks out there. We will be selling more crafts and donʻt forget that Mothers Day is the next day so if you are need of a gift please drop on by. The fundraiser is located at the Kokokahi YWCA on Kaneʻohe Bay Dr.!

Mahalo to Kongʻs trucking for allowing us to use their truck. Our float was fab. Thanks to all the many hands that helped and made our efforts to put forth our best work. Here is a clip from youtube that everyone can watch. The festivities at ʻIolani Palace grounds were fun. Our club did good with our Food Booth selling hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and water. Great work from all that wen kōkua. Check out the link and also stay tuned for more to come...
